Reagan's CT that turned into an MRI

We went to have our CT scan done on Monday and got there and they tell us that they aren't going to do it. They have all decided they need to do an MRI instead. HELLO people I just let my baby starve to do this and you change your mind. So ok fine, we have to get ourselves psyched up again to let her starve and have her sedated again. We went today for the MRI and she done great!! She wasn't happy becuase she was hungry but other than that she was ok. They gave her some medicine to make her sleepy and she conked out in about 5 min. We had to leave her then and they gave her an IV and they did the procedure. It took about an hour and a half and she was awake when we got back to her. She was starving and sucked down 6oz of pedilite and 1oz of formula then slept for 2 hours. We have to go back to the hematologist tomorrow hopefully we'll get the results then and find out when we start treatment.

We went to the Opthamologist on Tuesday and we really liked him. He told us that she already has astigmatisim in her left eye and that he highly recommends the proponol and that it should shrink it pretty quickly. That was great news. If it works pretty quick then she won't even need glasses to help correct her vision. Hopefully we will have more news tomorrow!!

Update on her Eye

So we found out about a week ago that Reagan has a Hemangioma on her left eye. We seen a plastic surgeon on Tuesday and the hematologist. We basically didn't find anything out we didn't already know. They will most likely be treating it with a beta blocker. We have to have a CT scan done on Monday and we see the opthamologist on Tuesday then they will discuss and decide how to treat it. So what we are praying for is that the hemangioma is vascular only and not connected to anything else. It isn't growing super fast and the beta blocker will just slow the growth. They only way to make it go away completly right now is with surgery. You can see in the pic the little bruise looking area and that is what we are talking about.

Ok, so I haven't been keeping up with all of this lately. Busy life with a new baby...well yeah, but just been lazy really. Reagan has grown so much,!! She is 3 1/2 months old now and when we went to the dr on Friday and she weighed 12.9lbs. We started adding rice to her formula this weekend so when we go back for her 4 month check up I will be interested to see how much she has gained. She is rolling all the way over now, but she likes to go from back to belly the best.

So let me catch you all up on what has been going on. Reagan was dedicated at First Baptist on October 18th and it was wonderful! She did not like the pastor holding her so she got stiff on him and it was really cute. All of Jonathan's family cam over and my family was there, it was wonderful to see how many people were there and that love her. Halloween was kinda boring this year....we dressed her up took her to the porch and took pictures and then took her costume off. It was pouring down rain all night so no one got to see her cute wiggly worm outfit. Reagan went to her first football game this weekend. App State vs UTC. I think she enjoyed it....she slept on me the first half and the second half she was awake and I took her inside and let her play on a blanket. We had box seats that Jonathan's unlce let us use, so that was a life saver!! She didn't like the band when they played at first or the people screaming. That was probably because she was trying to go to sleep and it was interrupting nap time!!



We found out at the dr on Friday that she has a hemangioma which is a another word for a birthmark and what kind it is. Her's is in a very tricky place though, it is in the corner of her left eye. It has started to get bigger so we are off to see specialists on Tuesday to find out what our options are going to be to get rid of this. We are hoping that we just have to use beta-blockers to get rid of it and not a steriod. We also do not want surgery or a laser treatment. So we are hoping that tomorrow they all tell us the beta-blocker is the best course of treatment. They have already talked about her having an MRI...which scares the begess out of me!! I really don't want her to have to be put to sleep, which they would have to do for the MRI.


Other than that we are all good. Just gearing up for a busy Holiday season. I am hoping to start my Christmas shopping soon...BLAH!!! I don't even want to tackle the mall when they are so busy!! Here are some pictures from the past few weeks of Miss Reagan
